We specialize in a wide range of medical conditions from mental/emotional problems such as, but not limited to, addiction, anxiety, depression and reducing stress; to musculoskeletal problems such as, but not limited to, repetitive strain injury (RSI) and any accident covered by ACC. After gaining a wide range of experience as an Acupuncturist and Tuina Practitioner in different settings throughout the greater Wellington Region including Hutt Hospital Maternity Acupuncture Clinic, a community outreach program at Arohata women's prison, at Bendy Buddha in Island Bay, at Achilles Clinic in Wellington Central, and as a Teaching Assistant and a Guest Lecturer at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Nate Wafstet identified a gap in the market and opened up his own clinic on The Terrace in Wellington Central where he could incorporate the experience and skills that he had acquired to build a thriving inner-city practice.

Meet the Business Owner:

After working in the US military and as an Engineer in New Zealand, Nate made a career change because he wanted to give back to the community. After researching different options he decided on training as an acupuncturist, as acupuncture is a prominent method of assisting veterans in the US. Nate is passionate about using acupuncture to help everyone, and fully believes in Traditional Chinese Medicine's ability to help and heal the broad spectrum of conditions of those coming to his practice. Nate has treated mental/emotional disorders, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic conditions as well as complex individual cases that patients may present with. There's nothing more satisfying than watching the progression of each patient when they embark upon their personal health journey, and Nate has great passion to help facilitate patients to achieve their health goals.

My journey took me from REIKI, Massage, Reflexology to Health Coaching. Throughout my life I had a love of natural food, fostered from early on as my stepdad always experimented with the newest research to overcome his own health issues. Discovering in my early 20 my own health problems, I realized it was not all related to food! I have seen how stress and general well-being influences our gut, and back then - Reflexology - opened the world for me! Later on, when I had my own kids, I discovered they had gut health problems as well, so I researched more and more and recently ended up with Prekure Health Coaching certificate.

With more than 20 years of experience, I am very passionate about restoring functional, structural and postural integrity of the body, allowing to return to optimal health including a holistic approach incorporating lifestyle medicine. I have experience working with clients who are recovering from accidents, injuries and chronic pain and I am particularly focused on holistic healing that addresses the root causes of the injury or illness. I love working with people and empowering them to take control of their own health and well-being.

I combine my experience in traditional massage and reflexology with modern, evidence-based health coachingin blended sessions, to best suit your individual needs. My work and experience have taught me that prevention is cure. I believes wholeheartedly in a holistic approach, with a focus on lifestyle and sustainability.

I specialize in working with parents and families. Based on my experience and research, I believe that children's nutrition influences their behaviour and development. Their ability to stay focused, to concentrate, to feel comfortable in their bodies has everything to do with what they eat. Gut health, often considered a minor annoyance, has enormous effects on our quality of life. But its not only about your children. As parents, we excel at managing everyday life for our children, but we sometimes forget to take care of our own needs. Your health effects your childrens, and I will help you find ways to manage it!
