In 1960, John "Jack" Dempsey started Domestic Textile Corporation, a Division of The Dempsey Group, creating quality bedding and bed linen for the Australian market .

Opening the first retail store in 1975 under the Bed Bath N Table name, its success led to an expansion into a wider range of home wares. Today, with over 100 stores in Australia and New Zealand, we're still Australian owned and family operated. Maintaining family values is important to us, true to our founder John Dempsey's belief that a happy home inspires great memories.
